Mount Kosciuzsko
Mount Kosciuszko, Australia, 11 October 2012.

It is located in New South Wales in Australia which is also a local ski area in the Kosciuszko National Park. The drive from Canberra to the national park was about 2h and a half. I enjoyed the beautiful, picturesque mountain views and forests of the Snowy Mountains region. The majority of this drive is through the Kosciuszko National Park, which is recognized as a UNESCO Biosphere.
The mountain’s flora and fauna is amazing. I enjoyed taking along the way pictures of some of the rare species of alpine plants, flowers and animals.
I considered the The Kosciuszko ‘climb’ more of a one day hike than a climb. The weather was though quite windy and there were deep drifts along the way to the summit which was covered with snow. The views were spectacular overlooking the the Australian Alps.
