Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Thani

Sheikh-Mohammed-Bin-Abdullah-Al-ThaniAQatari, born on the 16th of June 1982 in Sharjah U.A.E., Sheikh Mohammed, the Sharjah-based entrepreneur-mountaineer-philanthropist-photographer-sportsman and co-founder of UAE-based travel portal Musafir.com set himself a dedicated mission to push his limits by scaling the Seven Highest Summits of the Seven Continents of the World.

He is the Brand Ambassador for Reach Out to Asia (ROTA), a private non-profit organization, based in Doha, Qatar, with a noble mission to raise awareness that education is a right for everyone. His mountaineering record looks as dizzying as his experiences must have been. In September 2011, he summited Mont Blanc which towers over the French Alps at 4,810m. In August 2012, he scaled Mount Elbrus, which at 5,642m is the highest point in Europe. In October 2012, he summited Australia’s Mount Kosciuszko at 2,228m, and in December 2012, he made it to the top of Mount Vinson at 4,892m, the highest peak of Antarctica. In January 2013, he scaled the fifth summit of South America, Mount Aconcagua, which at 6,962m is the highest peak in the western hemisphere. On the 25th of May 2013, Sheikh Mohammed Al Thani realized his ultimate adventure to accomplish his long awaited dream of climbing Mount Everest in Nepal, the highest mountain in the world, at an altitude of 8,850m become the first Qatari to reach the top of the world, Mt. Everest.

 

In 2015 He has two more adventures, trekking to the South Pole, and finishing off the 7th summit, North America, Mt. Denali that stands at 6,194m
